It’s August and the busiest month of the year for us at The Bay, Talland. We are at full capacity for most of the weeks but do have a couple of houses left available for the week arriving on the 24th August and then the 31st August going into September.

What’s on in the Talland area in August
The Fowey Royal Regatta is on from the 18th-24th August and is one of the UK’s premier sailing events. There will be lots of entertainment on during the week for all the family.
On Saturday 17th August it’s Looe Marine Discovery Day at East Looe Seafront. Join the RSPB, Looe Marine Conservation Group & many more to celebrate all things marine and learn about our oceans on the seafront. Find out more.
What’s on further afield in August
Falmouth Week – 9-18th August
Falmouth Week has grown into the largest sailing regatta in the south west. Catch more than 450 yachts racing over the 8 days that it runs. You’ll also find lots of entertainment on the shore side events in Falmouth. You can view the full programme here.
Fun things to do with the family in Cornwall in August
Flambards
Flambard’s summer entertainment programme runs through the holidays from July 20th – September 2nd and includes fireworks displays, VR adventures, creepy crawly shows and live music.
The fireworks are on every Monday and Wednesday.
Throughout the month they have pop tribute acts such as Britney Spears, Justin Beiber and Robbie Williams.

Eden Project
The Eden Project has a special exhibition on for the Summer holidays. Catch Earth Story at the Eden Project on until 3rd September.
Watch a movie in the open air
Watch family favourites such as Pirates of Caribbean, The Greatest Showman and A Knights Tale in the grounds of Falmouth’s Pendennis Castle.
