What’s Happening This July In Cornwall?

Murder Mystery On The Bodmin And Wenford Railway

When: Various Dates Through July 2024
Where: General Station, Bodmin

Piece together the puzzle and guess the murderer at this thrilling event held on the Bodmin Railway. Take the opportunity to question the cast and if you manage to figure out who did it, you may have the chance to go home with a prize. On top of this, get a free Cornish pasty and drink on your arrival with your ticket.

Penzance Literary Festival

When: 5th to the 8th of July 2024
Where: Penzance

Join the Penzance Literary Festival, a celebration of all things literature, arts and culture. This festival is held in the vibrant coastal town of Penzance and attracts writers and poets from all corners of the country. The Falmouth Cringe Festival

When: 6th to the 9th of July 2024
Where: Falmouth 

If you want a good laugh, get yourself down to The Falmouth Cringe Festival. This four-day comedy event is back by popular demand, featuring a lineup of talented comedians who are all huge in both local and international scenes. This event will also see the Cornish Comedian of the Year award be presented, showcasing the talent in the area.

Cornwall Shop Small Market

When: 15th July 2024
Where: Lemon Quay, Truro

Dragon Boat Race

When: 29th July 2024
Where: The Working Boat, Falmouth

Held at the harbourside pub, the Dragon Boat Race is a free event available to anyone. Sign up online, or if you dont fancy having a go yourself, you can grab a pint and cheer from the shorelines. 10% of the food and drink profits will go to the local men’s mental health charity Man Down. Come down and support the participants and raise money for a good cause.

Looe Carnival Week

When: 29th to the 31st of July 2024
Where: Throughout Looe

This event signals the start of the summer and has plenty of fun activities throughout the week. There’s a Traditional Furry Dance, Summer Run, Sandcastle Modelling Competition, and many more. Truro Classic Car Show

When: 30th July 2024
Where: Truro

Celebrate the UK’s vast automotive history at the Truro Classic Car Show. The show will include plenty of timeless classic cars from different eras. Food, drink and live entertainment will also be available. This event is a must-attend for any petrolhead!

Beauty And The Beast

When: 31st July 2024
Where: Pencarrow House and Gardens

Come see the new telling of the classic Beauty and the Beast fairytale at Pencarrow House and Gardens. The production will be shown in the beautiful open-air theatre, with refreshments available. Bring your blanket and enjoy the show!
