New Year’s Eve can often be an anticlimax after the busy-ness of Christmas week and you’ll either end up at an over priced pub with taxi’s costing a fortune or staying in and watching the festivities from the sofa – which is lovely, but why now change things up this year?

Why now pop down to Looe for the infamous fireworks – there’s a family friendly display at 6pm and the big celebration at Midnight. Every year the streets are lined with people in fancy dress for an evening of fun and celebration.
The event is free to attend and there is no need to book either (unless you want to eat – we’d recommend you book a table as it will be busy). The fireworks are launched off Banjo Pier, with the best views being from the promenade.
Once the fireworks are done, head back to the comfort of The Bay to continue your celebrations.
On New Year’s Day, why not blow away the cobwebs with a stroll along the coastal path. Head towards Looe or Polperro for some yummy pub grub and take in the views.
