Doc Martin

This comedy-drama revolves around Dr Martin Ellingham, a socially awkward and grumpy surgeon who moves to the fictional seaside village of Portwenn to become the local GP.

The picturesque village of Port Isaac is the actual village where the show is filmed and serves as the primary filming location. With its narrow lanes and stunning coastal views, it’s a great place to visit.

Jamaica Inn

Based on Daphne du Maurier’s novel, this period drama tells the story of Mary Yellan, who moves to her aunt’s inn on the Cornish moors, only to discover it’s a haven for smugglers and criminals.

The real Jamaica Inn on Bodmin Moor was used as inspiration and filming location for the series.

Various Cornish towns and landscapes, including Truro, St Ives, and Penzance, provide the backdrop for Wycliffe’s investigations.
