Dog-Friendly Beaches and Walks
As you venture out with your dog, there are lots of great walks to take them on. And if you’re looking for a lovely coastal walk, this roughly 90-minute trek from Looe to Talland and finishing at Polperro is a great way to stretch your furbabies legs and keep them fit during your stay. For a shorter more scenic nature walk, a 30-minute walk from Harbour House to East Looe along a coastal footpath gives your dog plenty of sniffing spots and a beautiful ocean view.
If your dog loves running on open sand and swimming in fresh ocean water, visiting a beach is necessary. And one that is a must is Downderry Beach, at low tides it connects to other beaches, so that’s a bonus! It’s also open all year round. After a long day of exploring you are both going to want to rest up and grab a bite to eat, and Looe is full of dog-friendly eateries. The Smugglers Cott is one of these places that welcome dogs and offer plenty of treats from behind the bar. They also let their humans order from their delicious menu too! On an evening why not head over to Stargazy Bar & Grill? Its amazing views are in the name, also with great views overlooking the rolling countryside, it’s a great place to take in the fresh air while enjoying a nice pint with your furry friend.
